Our Confirmation program follows diocesan guidelines by offering two years of preparation prior to receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation in the spring of Eighth grade. Parent meetings will be scheduled along with sponsor meetings. At least one parent should is to be present at those meetings.
Seventh grade students prepare for the Sacrament of confirmation by completing Level 7 of the Faith and Life Online program with scores above 70%, attending Mass on the weekend with their family, and participating in the Holy Moments Challenge. Eighth grade students prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation by completing Level 8 of the Faith and Life Online program with scores above 70%, attending Mass on the weekend with their family, and participating in the Holy Moments Challenge. Also, by attending a Confirmation Retreat, prior to receiving the sacrament. Students also complete a Saint Report and write a letter to Father stating their readiness to receive the Sacrament. The Saint chosen is the Confirmation name the student has chosen. *Confirmation name can be their baptismal name.These requirements will be outlined in a parent/student meeting. Parents are required to attend all meetings during this process. In the middle of the 8th grade, students will be evaluated on their readiness for confirmation, and upon approval students will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation held in the spring of 8th grade.
