Recently the Church revised the translation of the Rites of Christian Initiation for Adults (commonly known as RCIA). Now the process of being received into the Catholic Church is called the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults. We’re encouraged to refer to it as an initiation process instead of using the acronym.
Are you seeking answers to your questions about the Catholic faith? You’re welcome to reach out and inquire about what the next steps look like for you at St. Mary. We invite adults who have never been baptized, those who have been baptized in another Christian tradition, and adult Catholics who may not have completed all the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, First Holy Communion and Confirmation).
Contact Deacon Bill Grimes at 219-249-1038 or bgrimes@stmarycp.org. Thank you for beginning your journey with us!
Respond to Jesus’ call to “come, follow me” (Matthew 19:21). We’re looking for storytellers that are passionate about sharing their faith with others! Those interested in entering the Church need someone to accompany them, study with them, and be witnesses in our community. Contact Deacon Bill to get involved with the process!
